Position summary
We are looking for a passionate, driven, and strategic Head of HR to join as a full time member of our team in Rehovot to lead our people strategy. This position is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in startup and fast-paced environments, wants to play a significant role in building out the HR organization, and wants to have significant impact on a growing mission driven company.
The Head of HR reports directly to Ukko’s CEO and is a key partner in building, developing and executing a comprehensive people strategy for Ukko aligned with the company’s mission, vision and culture. We are looking for someone who has experience in growing a company from ~30 to 100+ people and has a combination of strategic thinking with a passion and willingness for hands on operations.
Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate has experience in building HR systems and infrastructure for scale. Your role will focus on the entire employee lifecycle beginning with attracting and hiring top-notch talent, benefits, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, performance management, organizational design, and succession planning and ensuring our employees flourish in the company.
In this role you will:
Work with the CEO and leadership to create and sustain a thriving performance driven culture that brings out the best in each employee.
Establish best in class programs in areas such as recruiting new talent, on-boarding, performance management, training, people engagement, and career development.
Collaborate with senior leadership to understand and map the organization’s goals and needs related to recruiting, and retention.
Build strong inter-organizational relationships and establish great communication channels between managers and employees, effective cross-department collaboration.
Provide a data driven, metrics-based approach to demonstrate success and gaps for the organization in performance, culture, and employee engagement and retention.
Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
Requirements:
Proven track record in an HR role in a global start-up or rapidly scaling company.
10+ years of experience in a variety of HR roles including employee experience, compensation and benefits, organizational development and design and talent acquisition.
A leader with strategic thinking abilities, effective people manager and problem-solver.
Systems experience with one or more HR related systems
