Business Strategy Lead


Position summary


We are seeking a talented and driven Business Strategy Lead to join as a full time member of our team and work closely with our CEO to support our strategic decision-making processes and lead critical projects across the organization. This role reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, have a strong background in compiling strategic docs and financial modeling, and possess excellent communication skills.


Responsibilities

  • Strategic and Analytical Work: Develop comprehensive financial models, investor decks, and other strategic documents to support business planning and decision-making

  • Decision-Making Support: Own, manage and support different strategic decision-making processes through detailed analytical research and cross-organizational collaboration

  • Project Management of Cross-Organizational Projects: Support and lead CEO-driven projects that span various functions within the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competition, potential partners, and investors. Represent market insights within the organization to inform strategic planning

  • External Representation: Represent Ukko at conferences and other external events to promote our vision and network with industry stakeholders

  • Ad-hoc Business Efforts: Take ownership of and lead various business-related initiatives as they arise (eg marketing, PR, product strategy)


Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience at a top consulting firm or investment bank

  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to create and interpret complex financial models and strategic documents

  • Self-motivated and driven with a commitment to excellence 

  • Quick learner with the ability to analyze large amounts of information and extract relevant takeaways

  • Strong communication skills 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment

  • Scientific or engineering background is a plus

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
