JJ VOLUPAS
Jamison “JJ" is a senior at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he is studying finance, statistics, and computer science. An advocate for youth, JJ writes a daily blog (www.TheLandofCan.com) for young people with food allergies and their families. He also is the author of Land of Not, a children’s book that inspires elementary students to understand their possibilities rather than define themselves by their limitations. A Mission Ambassador for End Allergies Together, JJ also serves on FARE’s Teen Advisory Group.
JENNIFER ISCOL
Jennifer is the President of the Celiac Community Foundation of Northern California. She was formerly a cartographer at the National Geographic Society and a foreign and defense policy analyst.
COURTNEY DE BALMANN
Courtney is a member of the board of directors of the Celiac Disease Foundation. She became passionate about improving the lives of those with celiac after a close family member was diagnosed with the disease. Courtney previously served as the Executive Director of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation in New York. She was also the Director of Development of the Psychiatry Department at UCSF and Vice President of the HHV-6 Foundation where she is now a board member. Prior to running medical research foundations, Courtney worked in fixed income at Goldman Sachs and Drake Management.
JOSEPH R. LEWIS
Joseph currently works at Google. In the past, he worked for Sandia National Laboratories and authored several books on web development. For the celiac community, Joe has volunteered to help build maps and databases that help others find celiac-friendly businesses and products.
LISA RUTTER
Lisa is the Founder of No Nuts Moms Group, the largest nut allergy support group on Facebook. She is also the Director of Support Group Development at the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Connection Team (FAACT). Lisa’s 10 year old son was diagnosed with life threatening food allergies at the age of three.
